Car
If you are driving, head towards Douala city center. From the main road (A3), follow the signs to Douala and take the exit towards Akwa I. Continue straight on Boulevard de la Liberté until you reach the address 4802 Bd de la Liberté. There is parking available nearby, but be aware of potential parking fees that might apply.
Public Transportation
To reach La Nouvelle Liberté using public transport, you can take a taxi or a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to Akwa I. Most taxi drivers will know the landmark. If you are coming from a different part of the West Region, you can take a bus to Douala and then use a local taxi or motorcycle taxi to reach the destination. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey, as prices may vary. Expect to pay around 500 to 1000 CFA francs for the taxi ride from Douala's central bus station.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Akwa I, you may find it convenient to walk to La Nouvelle Liberté. From the Akwa market, walk towards Boulevard de la Liberté. The landmark is about a 10-minute walk from the market. Follow the main road until you see the historical monument on your right.
