Getting there

Driving

To reach Cape Tryon Lighthouse by car, head towards French River. From the main highway (Route 1), take Route 2 towards Kensington, then turn onto Route 6 towards French River. Follow Route 6 until you reach Cape Tryon Road, then turn left. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the lighthouse. There is a small parking area available near the lighthouse. Be aware that the road can be narrow and bumpy. Parking is free.

Public Transport

To reach Cape Tryon Lighthouse via public transportation, take a bus from Charlottetown to Kensington. From Kensington, you may need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to the lighthouse, as public transit options are limited in that area. Alternatively, take the bus from Charlottetown towards North Rustico, Route 6, and get off at the stop for French River. From there, walk approximately 2 kilometers to the lighthouse via Cape Tryon Road. A taxi from Kensington to the lighthouse would cost approximately $30-$40. Bus fare from Charlottetown to Kensington is approximately $5-$10.

Walking
