• Car

  If you are driving from Sydney, Cape Breton, head northwest on NS-125 N. Merge onto NS-105 N and continue for approximately 90 km until you reach Baddeck. From Baddeck, follow the signs for NS-105 N toward North Sydney. Continue on NS-105 N for about 60 km. Take exit 7 toward NS-4 N and continue on NS-4 N for 50 km. Then, take the exit for NS-105 W toward Port Hawkesbury, and after approximately 20 km, take NS-104 W. After about 70 km on NS-104, take exit 21 toward NS-2 N. Follow NS-2 N for about 30 km until you reach the intersection with NS-30. Turn left onto NS-30 and follow it until you reach the town of Inverness. From there, follow local signs leading toward your destination, Grand Lac des Iles, which is situated in the Matawinie Regional County Municipality, QC J0K 3B0.

  Take a bus from Sydney to Port Hawkesbury using the Maritime Bus service. Once in Port Hawkesbury, you will need to transfer to a bus heading to Inverness. After arriving in Inverness, you can either use a taxi service to reach Grand Lac des Iles or consider car rental services available in Inverness.
