If you are traveling by car, head towards Victoria County in Nova Scotia. Start on the Trans-Canada Highway (NS-105) from wherever you are in Cape Breton Island. Take exit 11 toward Baddeck and continue on NS-105 for approximately 30 kilometers. You will then take the exit for NS-205 toward the Cabot Trail. Follow NS-205 until you reach the junction with NS-313. Turn onto NS-313 and follow it, keeping an eye out for signs directing you to Kidston Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at approximately 46.0981° N latitude and -60.7421° W longitude. There is no entrance fee to visit the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, begin by taking a bus from Sydney to Baddeck, which is a central hub in Cape Breton. Upon reaching Baddeck, you may need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service, as public transport options are limited. From Baddeck, you can request a taxi to take you directly to Kidston Lighthouse, which is about 30 kilometers away. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your trip, as it can vary. Expect to pay around CAD 40-60 for the taxi ride depending on the time of day and traffic conditions.
Biking/Walking
