Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Charlottetown waterfront area, near Victoria Row. Head east along the waterfront pathway towards the Confederation Landing Park. As you pass the park, continue along the boardwalk until you reach the end of the park. Once you reach the intersection at the end of the park, turn left onto Water Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with University Avenue. Cross University Avenue to continue on Water Street. Follow Water Street as it curves and becomes Hillsborough Street. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Belvedere Avenue. Turn right onto Belvedere Avenue. Stay on Belvedere Avenue as it leads you towards the outskirts of the city. You will eventually reach the intersection with the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1). Cross the highway carefully at the designated pedestrian crossing and continue on the path until you arrive at Blockhouse Road. Follow Blockhouse Road to the end, where you will find the Blockhouse Point Lighthouse.

• Bicycle

  Begin your journey at the Charlottetown waterfront, near the Confederation Landing Park. Rent a bicycle from a local rental service if you don't have one. Head east along the waterfront path, cycling towards the end of the park. Once you reach Water Street, turn left and proceed straight, cycling along Water Street until you reach University Avenue. At the intersection, cross University Avenue and continue cycling on Water Street as it becomes Hillsborough Street. Follow Hillsborough Street until you reach Belvedere Avenue, where you will turn right. Continue on Belvedere Avenue until you reach the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1). Carefully cross the highway at the pedestrian crossing and continue on the path leading to Blockhouse Road. Follow Blockhouse Road to reach Blockhouse Point Lighthouse at the end of the road.

• Public Transit

  From the Charlottetown downtown area, locate the nearest bus stop for the public transit service. Take the bus that heads towards Rocky Point. The bus will take you along Route 1 towards your destination. Make sure to ask the driver for the stop nearest to Blockhouse Road, or check the transit app for updates. Once you arrive at the stop, walk along Blockhouse Road until you reach the lighthouse. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips, as they may vary.
