The original structure was a wooden building with a red iron lantern. In 1962, the current square, pyramidal tower was constructed. The lighthouse is not open to the public, but it remains an important cultural landmark.Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the coastline and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
