Driving
To reach Cape Tryon Lighthouse by car, head towards French River. From the main highway (Route 1), take Route 2 towards Kensington and then turn onto Route 6 towards French River. Follow Route 6 until you reach Cape Tryon Road, then turn left onto Cape Tryon Road. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the Cape Tryon Lighthouse. There is a small parking area available near the lighthouse. Be aware that the road is narrow and bumpy. Parking is free but limited.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Charlottetown to Kensington. From Kensington, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Cape Tryon Lighthouse as public transit options are limited in that area. Walking
For adventurous walkers, you can start from the downtown area of Charlottetown and make your way towards French River. The total distance is about 25 kilometers, so be prepared for a long trek. Begin by heading towards Route 1, then follow it until you connect with Route 6. Once you are on Route 6, continue towards French River. Upon reaching French River, turn onto Cape Tryon Road and walk approximately 2 kilometers to the lighthouse. This route allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of Prince Edward Island.
