Car
If you are driving to the National Arts Centre from any location in the Edmonton Capital Region, start by getting onto the Whitemud Drive (Highway 14) and head east. Follow the signs to merge onto Anthony Henday Drive (Highway 216) to head south. Continue on Anthony Henday Drive until you reach the exit for Highway 2 South towards Calgary. Merge onto Highway 2 South and take the exit for 16 Ave NW (Highway 16). Follow 16 Ave NW until you reach the exit for Edmonton's downtown area. Once in downtown, follow the signs towards 1 Elgin St in Ottawa. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for parking fees that can range from $2 to $5 per hour.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, start by finding your nearest Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) bus stop. Take the bus number that heads towards the downtown area and transfer to the LRT (Light Rail Transit) at either Churchill Station or Central Station. Board the LRT heading towards the Clareview Station. Disembark at the 100 St & 1 Ave stop. From there, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the National Arts Centre. Be sure to check the ETS schedule for bus and LRT timings, as fares range from $3.50 for a single ride to $9.00 for a day pass.
