Car
If you're driving, start from Gaspé town. Head east on Route 132 (Boulevard de Gaspé) and follow the signs towards Forillon National Park. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes (around 25 km). You will pass through beautiful landscapes. Once you enter Forillon National Park, follow the signs towards Cap-Gaspé. The lighthouse is located at the very tip of the peninsula. There is a parking area near the lighthouse, and parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Gaspé to Forillon National Park. The bus service operates regularly, but check the schedule in advance for the latest times. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can either walk the remaining distance to the lighthouse (about 8 km) or check if there are shuttle services available during the peak season. Be prepared for a scenic walk as you approach the lighthouse.
Walking
If you're already within Forillon National Park, you can explore the hiking trails leading to Cap-Gaspé. There are well-marked trails from various points in the park. The distance varies depending on your starting location, but expect to hike at least 5 km to reach the lighthouse. Ensure you wear appropriate hiking footwear and bring water and snacks.
