Discover more about Bonnie View Inn

The Bonnie View Inn, a fixture in the Haliburton Highlands since 1924, offers a unique blend of history, natural beauty, and classic hospitality. Located on Lake Kashagawigamog, the inn has evolved from a small cottage into a full-service resort while retaining its original charm. Originally established as a small cottage with a stone foundation (which still exists under the main lobby), the Bonnie View Inn quickly became a beloved destination. In 1945, the main inn and 14 cabins were added. During the prohibition era in the 1950s, the basement even served as a speakeasy, with original Scottish paintings still visible on the walls. Over the years, the inn has expanded, replacing chalets with suite buildings and adding a dockside patio. Today, the Bonnie View Inn features 26 rooms and suites, offering a range of accommodations from cozy rooms in the main inn to spacious chalets and suites with lake views. Guests can enjoy a private beach, water activities, hiking trails, and nearby attractions such as the Haliburton Sculpture Forest. Dining options include The Lodge (seasonal) and The Dockside (seasonal) restaurants, offering a variety of culinary experiences. The inn has a rich history of hosting weddings and events, with space to accommodate up to 105 guests. With its picturesque setting and experienced staff, the Bonnie View Inn provides a memorable backdrop for special occasions. The Bonnie View Inn is one of the last of 17 lodges/resorts that once existed on Lake Kashagawigamog.
