To reach Esson Lake by car from Haliburton village, head south on County Road 21 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection with County Road 118. Turn left onto County Road 118 and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for a sign indicating Esson Lake, and turn right onto the access road that leads you directly to the lake. Parking is available at the lake. There are no tolls or mandatory access fees.
