Driving

From Digby, follow Nova Scotia Route 217, which leads directly to Boar's Head Road. Turn onto Boar's Head Road and continue to 222 Boars Head Rd, where the lighthouse is located. Parking is available near the lighthouse, though it can be limited. Be prepared to walk the final distance if the gate is closed.
Public Transport

Take a bus to Digby. From Digby, a taxi to Boar's Head Lighthouse will cost approximately CAD 20-30. Check bus schedules in advance, as they may be infrequent.
Walking

From the Tiverton ferry dock, turn right onto Boars Head Road. Continue for 0.2 km to a gate. If the gate is closed, walk up the steep paved road for 1 km (0.6 miles) to reach Boars Head Lighthouse. There are no costs associated with walking to the lighthouse.

Boar's Head Lighthouse, located on the northeastern end of Long Island in Nova Scotia, has been a vital navigational aid for mariners since the mid-19th century. The name 'Boar's Head' is said to originate from a nearby rock formation resembling a boar.The current lighthouse, constructed in 1957, is a classic example of a tapered, square, wooden tower, standing 11.6 meters (35 feet) tall. Its white exterior and red lantern make it a striking landmark against the backdrop of the rugged coastline. Though the tower is currently closed to the public, the grounds are open, inviting visitors to explore the area and soak in the panoramic views.Designated as a heritage lighthouse in 2015, Boar's Head Lighthouse is recognized for its historical, architectural, and community significance.
