    If you are traveling by car, you can reach York Redoubt National Historic Site from Halifax by taking the NS-102 S highway. Start from downtown Halifax, head southwest on Barrington St toward Spring Garden Rd, then merge onto NS-102 S. Follow NS-102 S for approximately 15 km, then take exit 2 toward NS-103 S. Continue on NS-103 S for about 7 km and take exit 1 toward Ferguson's Cove. Follow the signs to Ferguson's Cove and continue onto Fergusons Cove Rd for about 2 km. The site will be on your right at 300 Fergusons Cove Rd, Fergusons Cove, NS B3V 1G3. Parking is available on-site.

    If you are using public transportation, you can take the Metro Transit bus number 14 from downtown Halifax. Board the bus at the Metro Transit terminal located at 5251 Duke St (bus stop near the Halifax Central Library). The bus will take you to the end of the line, which is near the entrance to Ferguson's Cove. From there, it is approximately a 20-minute walk to York Redoubt along the scenic shoreline. Be sure to check the Metro Transit schedule for the most current times. The bus fare is approximately CAD 3.50 for a one-way trip.

Starting from the Halifax waterfront boardwalk, follow the path along the harbor and continue toward the Northwest Arm. The distance is about 10 km and may take around 30-40 minutes by bike or 1.5 hours walking. Please ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water for the journey.
