Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Prince Edward Island National Park. Head northwest on the main park road, known as the Gulf Shore Parkway. Follow the signs towards Cavendish Beach. After approximately 20 minutes, you will reach a fork in the road. Stay to the right to continue onto Route 6. After about 5 minutes, you'll see signs for Sandspit Cavendish Beach. Turn left onto Cavendish Rd, and in about 2 minutes, you will arrive at Sandspit Cavendish Beach, located at 8986 Cavendish Rd, Cavendish, PE C0A 1N0.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check if there is a bus service available from Charlottetown to Cavendish. The bus should drop you off at a stop near Cavendish Rd. From the bus stop, walk approximately 15 minutes along Cavendish Rd, following the signs to Sandspit Cavendish Beach. The walk is straightforward and will take you directly to the entrance of the beach at 8986 Cavendish Rd.

• Bicycle

  If you are cycling from within Prince Edward Island National Park, take the Gulf Shore Parkway trail. This scenic route will lead you directly toward Cavendish. After around 10 kilometers, you will reach Cavendish Rd. Turn right onto Cavendish Rd, and continue for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Sandspit Cavendish Beach at 8986 Cavendish Rd. Ensure you have a good lock for your bicycle, as there are bike racks available at the beach.
