Car
If you are starting from Ottawa, take the ON-416 N highway. Continue on ON-416 N until it merges with ON-401 W. Follow the signs for ON-401 W towards Kingston. Take exit 8 to merge onto ON-7 W towards Carleton Place. Continue on ON-7 W for approximately 35 km, then take the exit towards ON-15 N. After about 10 km, take the exit for ON-17 W. Merge onto ON-17 W and then turn right onto Canon Smith Dr. Fitzroy Provincial Park will be on your left at 5201 Canon Smith Dr, Fitzroy Harbour, ON K0A 1X0. Please note that there is a parking fee of approximately $12 per vehicle during the peak season.
Public Transportation
To reach Fitzroy Provincial Park using public transportation, you can take a bus from Ottawa to Arnprior. First, board the OC Transpo Bus #94 from downtown Ottawa to the Ottawa Central Station. From there, catch a Greyhound or another regional bus heading to Arnprior. Once you arrive in Arnprior, you can use a local taxi service to reach Fitzroy Provincial Park, which is approximately 20 km away. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary, especially on weekends. The taxi fare from Arnprior to Fitzroy Provincial Park can range from $30 to $50.
