Car
If you are traveling by car, start on Highway 416 heading towards Ottawa. Merge onto the Queensway (Highway 417) heading east. Take exit 123 toward Nicholas St. Continue straight onto Nicholas St, then turn right onto Waller St. Continue onto Rideau St. Turn left onto Elgin St, and then right onto Wellington St. The National War Memorial will be on your left at 1 Wellington St, K1P 5A4.
Public Transportation
To reach the National War Memorial via public transportation, find your nearest OC Transpo bus stop. You can take Bus Route 1, 2, or 6, which will take you towards the downtown area. Get off at the stop ‘Wellington at Elgin’ which is closest to the memorial. From the bus stop, walk south on Elgin St and then turn left onto Wellington St. The memorial will be right ahead at 1 Wellington St, K1P 5A4.
