Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from a location in Ottawa Valley, head towards Ottawa. Take Highway 416 North until it merges into Highway 401 East. Continue on Highway 401 for approximately 40 km and then take the exit for Highway 416 North towards Ottawa. Follow this highway until you reach the signs for downtown Ottawa. Once you approach downtown, look for signs directing you toward the ByWard Market area. You can park in one of the many parking garages available nearby. The closest parking lot is the ByWard Market Parking Garage, located at 70 Clarence Street. From there, it's just a short walk to the York Street Millennium Fountain.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, board the OC Transpo bus from your nearest stop in the Ottawa Valley. Depending on your exact location, you may need to take a bus to reach a major transit station like the Ottawa Train Station or a bus terminal. Check the OC Transpo website for the best route. Once you reach downtown Ottawa, disembark at a stop near Rideau Centre or ByWard Market. From there, walk towards York Street. The fountain is located at the intersection of York Street and William Street, making it easily accessible on foot.

• Walking (from local parking)

  If you have parked at the ByWard Market Parking Garage, exit the garage and head south on Clarence Street. Turn left onto Dalhousie Street, then continue straight until you reach York Street. Turn right onto York Street, and you will find the Millennium Fountain at the intersection with William Street. The walk should take approximately 10 minutes.
