  If you are driving from any location within the Ottawa Valley, take Highway 416 south towards Ottawa. Merge onto Highway 417 east and follow it until you reach the downtown area. Take the exit for Nicholas Street, and then turn left onto Rideau Street. Continue straight until you reach York Street. Turn right onto York Street, and look for parking options nearby as York Steps is located at 54-74 York St, in the Byward Market area of Ottawa.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take the OC Transpo bus service. Depending on your starting point in the Ottawa Valley, you may need to transfer buses. A common route is to take bus 96 or 97 from the outskirts into downtown Ottawa. Get off at the Rideau Centre stop. From there, walk east along Rideau Street until you reach York Street.
