Public Transit - Bus
From Westboro, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the OC Transpo Route 2 bus towards 'St-Laurent' or Route 14 towards 'Hurdman'. Ensure you have a valid fare, which is approximately $3.75 CAD for a single ride (exact change is not accepted, but you can pay via the Presto card system). Ride the bus for about 15-20 minutes and get off at 'Rideau Centre'.
Walking
After you disembark at the Rideau Centre, exit the shopping mall and head towards Rideau Street. Walk straight on Rideau Street until you reach the bridge over the Rideau Canal. Cross the bridge, and continue walking straight to the Bytown Museum located at 1 Canal Ln. This walk will take approximately 10-15 minutes and offers a beautiful view of the canal.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Westboro. Head towards the Ottawa River Pathway and follow the path along the river towards the downtown area. This scenic route will lead you to the Bytown Museum in about 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to lock your bike at the designated bike racks near the museum.
