If you are driving to Discovery Nature Sanctuary from central Pembina Valley, start by heading southwest on Provincial Road 14. Follow this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach Winkler. Once in Winkler, continue on Pembina Ave until you reach the intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main St and drive for about 1 kilometer. The sanctuary will be on your right. There is no entrance fee, and ample parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Discovery Nature Sanctuary via public transportation, you can take a bus from nearby towns to Winkler. Check local schedules for the most accurate bus times. Once you arrive in Winkler, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the sanctuary. It's about a 10-minute walk from the bus station to the sanctuary. The address is Winkler, MB R0G 1R0, and the sanctuary is open from 6 AM to 10 PM daily.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can bike from central Pembina Valley to Discovery Nature Sanctuary. Use the Provincial Road 14, which has a bike lane along parts of the route. The distance is roughly 15 kilometers, and it will take about 1 hour to bike there. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws. Once you arrive, you can lock your bike at the designated bike rack.
