Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head to Lumsden, Saskatchewan. Wascana Trails is located just outside of Lumsden. From Regina, take the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) west toward Lumsden. After approximately 20 km, take the exit for Lumsden and follow the signs to the town. Once in Lumsden, continue on Lumsden's Main Street until you reach the Wascana Valley Nature Recreation Site, which is your destination. There is no entry fee for the trails, but ensure your vehicle has enough fuel for round trip travel.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Regina to Lumsden. Check the local bus schedules for the most current routes and times, as they might change. Once you arrive in Lumsden, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the Wascana Trails, as public transportation does not operate directly to the site. The taxi fare could range from $10 to $20 depending on the distance from the bus stop to the trails.

  For the adventurous, consider biking to Wascana Trails. If you're in Regina, you can take the bike paths leading out of the city towards Lumsden. The distance is approximately 20 km, and it can take about 1 to 1.5 hours to bike. Ensure you have a map or GPS to navigate the trails effectively.
