Getting There

  • Driving

    From Fir Mountain, SK, head southeast on Highway 18 towards Grasslands National Park. Follow the signs for the East Block and Rock Creek Campground, the main access point for the Valley of 1000 Devils. Park at the Rock Creek Campground and proceed to the trailhead. There is no fee to enter Grasslands National Park, but a backcountry permit is required for overnight camping, obtainable at the visitor center. Parking is free at the Rock Creek Campground.

    From the Rock Creek Campground, cross the Rock Creek bridge to the west. Continue through a cattle gate to reach the Valley of 1000 Devils trailhead. Follow the marked trail, keeping an eye out for trail flags. The hike to the valley is approximately 11 km and is considered difficult, so allow 3-5 hours for the round trip.
