Getting There

• Car

  If you are travelling by car within Prince Edward Island National Park, head towards the nearest major road, which is Route 6. Take Route 6 south towards Charlottetown. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will reach Charlottetown. As you enter the city, follow the signs for downtown. Turn left onto Kent Street. The Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation will be on your right at 2 Kent St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 1M6. There is public parking available nearby, which may incur a small fee.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take the local bus service from various points in the National Park to Charlottetown. Check the local bus schedules for routes and times. Once in Charlottetown, disembark at the downtown stop. From there, it is a short walk to Kent Street. Head east on Queen Street, then turn right onto Kent Street. The museum will be located at 2 Kent St. Please note that bus fares typically range from $2 to $3 CAD per trip.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, biking from Prince Edward Island National Park to Charlottetown is a great option. You can take Route 6, which is bike-friendly, heading south towards Charlottetown. The ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Charlottetown, follow the same directions: turn left onto Kent Street, and the museum will be on your right at 2 Kent St. Remember to wear a helmet and follow local cycling laws.
