If you are starting from Old Quebec (Vieux-Québec), head towards Rue Saint-Jean. Walk along this street until you reach the entrance of the Plains of Abraham (Plaines d'Abraham). Continue straight until you reach Rue de la Couronne. Turn left on Rue de la Couronne and continue until you reach the intersection with Rue des Remparts. Turn right on Rue des Remparts and follow it until you see the sign for Escalier Casse-Cou (Breakneck Steps) on your left at 5 Esc. Casse-Cou.
Public Transit
From the main bus terminal (Gare d'autocars de Québec), take bus number 800 towards 'Château Frontenac'. Get off at the 'Château Frontenac' stop. From there, walk east on Rue Saint-Louis until you reach Rue des Remparts. Turn left on Rue des Remparts and walk until you see the sign for Escalier Casse-Cou (Breakneck Steps) at 5 Esc. Casse-Cou.

If you're starting from Place Royale, head west towards Rue du Petit-Champlain. Walk along Rue du Petit-Champlain until you reach Rue des Jardins. Turn left on Rue des Jardins and walk until you reach Rue de la Commune. From there, turn right and continue straight until you reach Rue des Remparts.
