Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Château Frontenac, head east on Rue des Carrières. Continue straight until you reach Rue Saint-Louis, then turn left. Walk along Rue Saint-Louis until you reach Rue Saint-Jean, where you will turn right. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the Citadel. From the Citadel, you can follow the signs that lead you towards the Plains of Abraham, and from there, you will see signs directing you to the Royal Battery, which is located nearby. It’s a pleasant walk with beautiful views, taking approximately 15-20 minutes.

From Place d'Youville, take the bus number 11. Board the bus at the bus stop located near the Palais Montcalm. This bus will take you towards the Old City. Get off at the stop named 'Grande Allée' and then walk towards the Plains of Abraham. Once you arrive at the Plains, follow the pathway to the Royal Battery. The entire journey will take about 30 minutes, including the bus ride and the walk.
