As an Antiochian Orthodox Church, it is part of a tradition with roots in Antioch, Damascus, and a global presence. The parish of Saint Vincent of Lerins was founded in 1987. In March 1987, many members of the Holy Covenant Orthodox Church were received in Saskatoon by Bishop Antoun (Khouri) into the Orthodox Christian Church.The church is known for its stunning iconography and intricate designs that reflect the devotion of its congregation. Visitors are drawn to the peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place for quiet reflection. The church's choir is renowned for its enchanting performances, adding to the immersive experience of the services.In July 2021, the parish acquired the Third Avenue United Church building, a designated historic site in Saskatoon's city center. This building, constructed between 1910 and 1913, is noted for its English Gothic design, hammer-beam rafters, stained glass windows, and the Casavant organ. While the organ is currently not in use and requires extensive repairs, it remains a significant historical and architectural feature of the building. St. Vincent's welcomes people from all backgrounds to join their services and experience the beauty of Orthodox Christian worship.
