Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, Ruthven Park National Historic Site is located at 243 Haldimand County Hwy 54, Cayuga, ON N0A 1E0. From the QEW, take Exit 5 for ON-406 toward Welland. Merge onto ON-406 N and continue for about 25 km. Take the exit for ON-3 W toward Cayuga/Hagersville. Continue on ON-3 W for approximately 15 km, and then turn right onto Haldimand County Hwy 54. The site will be on your left in about 3 km. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Ruthven Park by public transit, you’ll need to take a bus to Cayuga. From Hamilton, for example, you can take the GO Transit bus to Cayuga. Once you arrive in Cayuga, you will need to either walk approximately 3 km or arrange for a taxi to take you to 243 Haldimand County Hwy 54. Be sure to check the local transit schedules for current routes and times. Note that taxi services may incur additional costs, typically around $10-$20 CAD from the bus terminal to Ruthven Park.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, Ruthven Park is accessible by bike. From Cayuga, you can take Haldimand County Hwy 54 directly to the park. The ride is approximately 3 km and is mostly flat, making it suitable for most cyclists. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local biking regulations.

• Walking

  If you're already in Cayuga and prefer to walk, you can reach Ruthven Park by walking along Haldimand County Hwy 54. It's about a 3 km walk from the center of Cayuga. Be sure to stay on the sidewalks where available and be cautious of traffic, especially when crossing roads.
