If you are driving from Winnipeg, take the Trans-Canada Highway (MB-1) westbound. Continue on MB-1 for approximately 90 km until you reach the exit for MB-8 North towards Arborg/Hecla Island. Merge onto MB-8 North and follow it for about 40 km. You will then see signs for Hecla Provincial Park. Continue on the road until you reach the resort. Make sure to check for any tolls or road costs along the way. Parking at the resort is typically free.
Public Transportation
From Winnipeg, board a Greyhound bus or a similar service heading towards Gimli. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Gimli, you can catch a local taxi or rideshare service to take you to Lakeview Hecla Resort, which is approximately 30 km away. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for departures. The taxi fare from Gimli to the resort may vary, so it’s advisable to confirm the rate with the driver before starting your journey.
