Car
If driving from Victoria, head southeast on Route 5 (Carretera Panamericana) towards Perquenco. After approximately 25 km, take the exit towards Route 181 and continue for about 15 km. Look for signs indicating Cascada Chufquen. The waterfall is about 5 km off the main road on a dirt track. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads.
Public Transport
To reach Cascada Chufquen via public transport, take a bus from Victoria to Perquenco. Buses depart regularly from the Victoria bus terminal for approximately CLP 2,000. From Perquenco, arrange a local taxi or rideshare to the waterfall, roughly 15 km away. Taxis may charge around CLP 10,000-15,000; confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
For adventurous travelers already near the area, consider hiking. Park your car at the entrance of the dirt track leading to Cascada Chufquen and hike approximately 5 km through the forest. The moderately challenging trail takes about 1-2 hours to reach the waterfall. Wear appropriate hiking footwear and bring water and snacks.
