We bought this tour package with Chile Tours, a very good company. You receive the tour itinerary days before with the pickup, breakfast/cocktail, and the money you have to bring for the entrance tickets, since it does not include them. We really liked the organization and punctuality of the tours (all are small groups of no more than 15 people). All tours include breakfast if it is in the morning and a cocktail if it is in the afternoon. Even though it is always the same menu, they are very good. What are the tours that we did? Rainbow Valley, Valle de la Luna, El Tatio, Laguna Cejar, Laguna Tebinquinche, and Piedras Rojas. They are all worth it, however... Laguna Cejar and Tebinquinche are practically the same experience (they are salt flats), so if you take a tour, whichever one you choose, try to swap the other for another experience like visiting a vineyard or the Puritama hot springs. (We did not swap it because we did not know, but if you have the opportunity and they allow you to, do it.) What did I like a lot about this organization? Except for Piedras Rojas (a full-day tour), the other tours are half-day, so you have an AM tour, they take you back to the hotel, and in the afternoon there is another tour... you have time to rest and time to have lunch, see little shops, etc. Important note: upon returning from the tour, they drop you off in front of the travel agency office; they do not take you back to your hotel... in our case, it was with Pukarami Tours because Chile Tours subcontracts or transfers the services to a local agency in Atacama... practically all our tours were with Pukarami Tours, and they drop you off in front of the tour agency. It is located right in front of the main street, Caracoles, and luckily for us, we stayed at a hotel on that same street. But, if your hotel/lodging is outside this area, it is something you must keep in mind. Tips: If you are going to get into the salt flats, do not shave that same day because your skin will burn quite a bit. For the entrance fees, it is better to pay them in advance at the tour agency (they only accept cash), but there is a currency exchange office on Caracoles Street. Do I recommend this package? Yes, I recommend it... especially if you are a person who likes to have everything organized in advance... Yes, you can get tours at a better price in San Pedro, but if you prefer to be sure and relaxed, this package is a good option and much better if you take advantage of Viator discounts like I did. Special mentions because they are guides who exceeded our expectations and made the tour very special... Francisco in Valle de la Luna (very knowledgeable, passionate, and funny), and guides like him make the tour special and unique. Nicolas and his assistant with the driver in Piedras Rojas were excellent as well... We loved socializing with them... very knowledgeable and kind.
