Discover more about Viña VIK

Nestled in the heart of Chile's Millahue Valley, within the O'Higgins region, Viña VIK stands as a testament to innovative winemaking and artistic vision. Founded in 2004 by Alexander and Carrie Vik, the winery was born from a desire to create world-class wines in a setting that celebrates both nature and art. The search for the perfect terroir led them to this 'golden place' (Millahue's meaning in the Mapuche language), where diverse microclimates and Pacific breezes contribute to the complexity of their wines. Viña VIK's architecture is as impressive as its wines. The winery, designed by Chilean architect Smiljan Radic, features a state-of-the-art, sustainable design that minimizes its impact on the landscape. A sleek white wing appears to float above the underground structure, housing a cellar with room for thousands of barrels. Above the cellar is a 'mirror of water' that cools the barrel room in an environmentally friendly way. The hotel, designed by Marcelo Daglio, offers panoramic views of the vineyards and the Andes Mountains. Inside, guests can admire works by renowned artists. Visitors can explore the vineyards, learn about the winemaking process, and taste Viña VIK's acclaimed wines. The winery produces five grape varieties: Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah. Wine tastings often include the flagship VIK vintage, along with Milla Cala and La Piu Belle. The Pavilion restaurant offers a gourmet dining experience, with fresh, local ingredients paired with the winery's wines. For a truly immersive experience, guests can stay at the Vik Chile hotel, a luxury retreat with uniquely designed suites and a wine-inspired spa.
