Car
From the center of Futaleufú, head south on Route 231 towards the Río Futaleufú. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Río Espolon. Turn left onto this road. Follow the road for approximately 5 kilometers, where you will find a small parking area near the river. Be aware that the road can be rough in places, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Public Transportation
In Futaleufú, look for local buses or colectivos (shared taxis) that head towards the southern part of the region. You can ask locals for the latest schedule, as it may change. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for Río Espolon. The ride may take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the riverbank, following signs or asking locals for directions.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike in Futaleufú and take Route 231 heading south. The ride is approximately 15 kilometers and can be a great way to enjoy the scenery. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring plenty of water. The last part of the route has some gravel sections, so be prepared for a bit of a bumpy ride.
