Getting There

• Car Rental

  From the center of Futaleufu, head south on Avenida 21 de Mayo. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Ruta 7 (also known as Carretera Austral). Continue on Ruta 7 for around 5 kilometers, then turn right onto a dirt road heading towards Laguna de la Paz. Follow this road for about 4 kilometers, where you'll find a parking area near the lake. Make sure to check road conditions before you leave, as they can vary.

• Public Transportation

  While there is no direct public transportation to Laguna de la Paz, you can take a local bus from Futaleufu to the nearest bus stop along Ruta 7. Buses generally leave from the main square in Futaleufu. After getting off, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along Ruta 7, then take the dirt road to Laguna de la Paz. It's advisable to check the bus schedule beforehand, as services may be infrequent.

• Taxi

  If you prefer not to drive or take the bus, you can hire a taxi from Futaleufu. The taxi can take you directly to Laguna de la Paz. Confirm the fare before starting your journey; it should cost around 20,000 to 30,000 CLP (Chilean pesos) one way, depending on the taxi service. Ensure you have cash on hand, as many drivers may not accept credit cards.
