Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Plaza de Armas in La Serena, head south on Calle Del Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins. Continue straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach Avenida Francisco de Aguirre. Turn right onto Avenida Francisco de Aguirre and walk for about 600 meters. You will then turn left onto Calle Brasil, where you will continue for about 150 meters. Parque Pedro de Valdivia will be on your right at Brasil 110-150.

    You can catch a local bus from various points in La Serena, such as from the Plaza de Armas. Look for buses heading towards 'La Serena Centro' or 'Plaza de Armas'. Let the driver know you want to get off near Parque Pedro de Valdivia. After approximately 15 minutes, ask the driver to stop at the intersection of Brasil and Avenida Francisco de Aguirre. From there, walk 150 meters down Brasil Street, and the park will be on your right.
