Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Puerto Varas. Take Route 225 towards Ensenada. Continue on Route 225 until you reach Route 5. Merge onto Route 5 and head south. After approximately 80 kilometers, take the exit towards Route 5 Sur towards Puerto Montt/Chiloé. Follow signs for the ferry to Chiloé. Take the ferry from Pargua to Chacao, which takes about 30 minutes (ferry fare is around CLP 12,000 for a standard car). Once you arrive in Chacao, follow Route 5 south to Ancud. Continue on Route 5 until you reach the city of Ancud. Finally, navigate to Pudeto 44 21, where EXPLORA CHILOÉ is located.

    If you prefer public transport, take a bus from Puerto Varas to Puerto Montt. From Puerto Montt, catch a bus to Ancud, which operates frequently.
