If you have your own car, start your journey from Puerto Varas. Head southeast on Ruta 225 towards Ensenada. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Ruta 225-CH. Turn left onto Ruta 225-CH and follow the road for approximately 18 kilometers. You'll find signs directing you towards Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales, where you can access the road leading to Tronador. Be aware that the road may be unpaved and could require a 4x4 vehicle depending on the season. Entrance to the park typically incurs a fee of around CLP 3,000 per person.

For those using public transportation, catch a bus from Puerto Varas to Ensenada. Buses run regularly and the trip takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Ensenada, you can arrange for a taxi or a shared van to take you to the entrance of Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales. The taxi fare can range between CLP 15,000 to CLP 25,000 depending on the number of passengers. Once at the park entrance, a fee of approximately CLP 3,000 per person will be required to enter.
