Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Valdivia, the capital of the Los Ríos Region. Take Route 5 (Carretera Panamericana) heading north for about 60 km until you reach the town of Gorbea. From Gorbea, take the exit for Camino a Donguil, which is well marked. Follow this road for approximately 15 km; you will need to cross a small bridge over the Río Donguil. Continue on this road until you see signs for El Salto Donguil Gorbea. There is a small parking area available near the site.

Public Transportation
For those without a car, you can take a bus from Valdivia to Gorbea. Buses leave regularly from the Valdivia bus terminal and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Gorbea, you can take a local taxi or a shared minivan (colectivo) to reach the entrance of the El Salto Donguil Gorbea. The taxi ride may cost around CLP 10,000 to CLP 15,000. Be sure to arrange your return transport in advance, as public transport options may be limited.

If you are already in Gorbea and prefer to walk, it is approximately a 15 km trek to El Salto Donguil Gorbea. Start from the town center and head towards Camino a Donguil. The route is relatively flat and follows scenic views along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water and snacks, as this will take approximately 3-4 hours one way.
