Maipo wine country is a gem. We went two swanky wineries and stopped for excellent country barbecue spot. Hector was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wineries and history. This was last minute idea on a Saturday night for a Sunday tour. Hector was responding on tour ideas and quotes after midnight and then showed at 10am the next day. Excellent service!

Nicolas,who runs Coigue, is exactly who you want as a guide for an outdoors focused day trip from Santiago. He is very attentive, kind and doesn't rush you though he will push you to try your best - It is physically intensive. Be sure to ask him about his bike touring adventures. You will not be disappointed. For me, because of excessive snow closing El Morado, we instead went to Valle de la Engorda which was stunning. We hiked a fair distance before snowshoeing till the final destination for a 8.4 km round trip. The boxed lunch was well selected, given I was vegetarian with a sandwich, granola bar, chocolate bar, peanuts and two fruits. I'd gladly choose Coigue and Nicolas for any other outdoorsy activities in the Santiago area and would gladly recommend them to anyone seeking the same.

Intensive day in Cajon del Maipo and Lodge El Morado

Wonderful walk. Guide Germann, very attentive and explained a lot about the region, and driver Francisco super prepared. We felt safe with him in the direction. First we went to the place combined with the Turistik. From there we left and stopped at São José del Maipo. Subsequently, we stopped at a place to rent botar, because the next place, a mirador was surrounded by snow. Finally, we reach our final destination: Logde El Mirador. There we had a cocktail that could be pisco sour, sparkling or water. After lunch came options: salmon, chicken, lamb or salad for vegetarians and drinks: juice, white or red wine. After lunch we went to the spa section, co. Right to massage(pay a part), heated water pool, the furrow, sauna and jacuzzi. I recommend bringing a slippers, jacket, swimsuit and a touch. Intensive day plus everything very good. It was worth the walk.
