Public Transportation
If you are starting from the city center of Santiago, take the Metro Line 1 (the Red Line) to the Baquedano station. Once you exit the metro, follow the signs to transfer to Line 5 (the Green Line) towards Plaza de Maipú, and get off at the next stop, which is the Pajaritos station. From here, you will need to take a bus towards the Parque Metropolitano. Look for buses with routes that mention 'Cerro San Cristobal' or 'Parque Metropolitano'. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to have some coins or a Bip! card for the bus fare, which typically costs around CLP 800.

Driving
If you are driving, head towards the center of Santiago and take the Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins (commonly known as La Alameda) heading east. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Av. Santa Maria where you will turn left. Follow Av. Santa Maria until you reach the entrance of the Parque Metropolitano. Look for signs to the cable car station. There is parking available near the Tupahue station, but it can fill up quickly on weekends and holidays, so arrive early. Please note that parking may incur a fee, usually around CLP 1,500 for the day.
