If you're traveling by car, start from Puerto Varas, which is approximately 100 km away from the base of Tronador. Head south on Route 225, following the signs to Ensenada. After about 30 km, turn left onto Route 225-CH, which will lead you towards the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. Continue for another 30 km, and then take a right onto a gravel road that leads to the park entrance. Note that there is a park entrance fee of approximately CLP 5,000 per person. Once inside, follow the signs toward Tronador, which will take you deeper into the park.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Puerto Varas to Ensenada. Buses leave regularly from the central bus terminal and the fare is around CLP 3,000.
