Walking
From the center of San Pedro de Atacama, head south on Caracoles Street until you reach the intersection with P. 14 de Febrero. Turn right onto P. 14 de Febrero and continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to the Valle de Catarpe. El Tunel is located within this area, so be prepared to pay a small entrance fee. After entering, follow the marked paths to find El Tunel, which is about a 15-minute walk from the entrance.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Once you have your bike, cycle south on Caracoles Street until you reach P. 14 de Febrero. Turn right on P. 14 de Febrero and continue for about 1 kilometer. At the entrance to Valle de Catarpe, secure your entrance fee and ride through the area. Follow the signs leading to El Tunel, which is roughly a 5-minute ride from the entrance.
