    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of San Pedro de Atacama, head towards the main road (Caracoles Street). Walk northeast until you reach the intersection with the Ruta 23-CH highway. Turn right onto Ruta 23-CH and continue walking for approximately 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Caldera. As you approach Caldera, keep an eye on your left for the entrance to Stone Zoo. Note that this walk is approximately 1 hour and may require you to cross some busy roads, so be cautious.

    Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Start by cycling northeast from the town center along Caracoles Street until you hit Ruta 23-CH. Turn right onto Ruta 23-CH. Continue cycling for about 5 kilometers, which should take around 20 to 30 minutes depending on your pace. Look for signs directing you to Caldera and the entrance to Stone Zoo on your left.

    Public Transport

    Head to the local bus station in San Pedro de Atacama. Look for a bus heading towards Caldera. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Caldera, ask the driver to drop you off near Stone Zoo or follow the signs towards the zoo from the bus stop, which should be within a short walking distance.
