Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Ushuaia, take National Route 3 (Ruta Nacional 3) heading north. Follow this route for approximately 30 km until you reach the sign for the bridge to Isla Martillo. The entrance to the bridge is clearly marked. Please note that parking is limited, so it's advisable to arrive early in the day. After parking, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach the island itself.

Public Transportation

From Ushuaia, you can take a local bus (Bus #7) to the end of the line at the 'Bahía Ensenada' stop, which is the closest access point to Isla Martillo. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to reach the island. Make sure to check the bus schedule beforehand as service can be infrequent, especially during off-peak seasons. A one-way bus fare is approximately 1500 Argentine Pesos.

Boat Tour

For a more scenic route, consider booking a boat tour from Ushuaia that includes Isla Martillo as part of its itinerary.
