    From Plaza Sotomayor, walk east along Serrano Street. The Ascensor Cordillera is located at Serrano 502, a short walk from the plaza. Look for the funicular entrance on your right.

  • Public Transport

    Take the Metro Valparaíso (Merval) to the Puerto station. From there, walk east along Serrano Street towards Ascensor Cordillera. Buses also run frequently along Avenida Pedro Montt; get off near Plaza Sotomayor and walk towards Serrano Street. Bus fares range from CLP$450 to CLP$550. Metro fares range from CLP$204 to CLP$1080 depending on the distance and time of day.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are readily available in Valparaíso. A short taxi ride from the main bus terminal or Plaza Aníbal Pinto to Ascensor Cordillera should cost approximately CLP$3,000. Colectivos (shared taxis) are also an option and charge around CLP$500 for a ride.
