Walking
If you are in the center of Valparaíso, start at Plaza Sotomayor. From the plaza, head east on Avenida Pedro Montt until you reach the intersection with Calle Prat. Turn left onto Calle Prat and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Brasil. Cross Avenida Brasil and continue straight onto Calle Urriola. Follow Calle Urriola until you reach the beginning of Cerro Alegre. You will start to see the colorful houses and murals as you walk uphill. Keep walking until you reach P.º Dimalow, where you'll find Cerro Alegre at number 290.

Public Bus
From Plaza Sotomayor, walk to the nearby bus stop on Avenida Pedro Montt. Take bus number 612 or 613 heading towards Cerro Alegre. The bus will take you up the hill. Get off at the stop closest to P.º Dimalow. From there, walk a short distance to reach Cerro Alegre at P.º Dimalow 290.
