Public Bus
From central Viña del Mar, head to the nearest bus stop on Avenida Libertad or Avenida Valparaíso. Look for a bus heading to Valparaíso, specifically the ones labeled 'Valparaíso' or 'Plaza Aníbal Pinto.' The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Plaza Aníbal Pinto, you will see the square in front of you, with various attractions and beautiful architecture surrounding it.
Metro
Walk to the nearest Metro station, which is 'Viña del Mar' station on the Metro Valparaíso line. Purchase a ticket to 'Plaza de la Victoria' station in Valparaíso. The metro ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Plaza de la Victoria, exit the station and walk towards Avenida Pedro Montt. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Prat. Turn left and walk until you reach Plaza Aníbal Pinto, which will be visible on your right.
Taxi or Rideshare
You can easily request a taxi or a rideshare service (like Uber) from anywhere in Viña del Mar. Simply provide the driver with the destination: 'Plaza Aníbal Pinto, Valparaíso.' The journey should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to have some cash on hand or a credit card for payment.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to enjoy a scenic walk, you can walk to Valparaíso. Head towards the coast and follow Avenida Perú until you reach the beach. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the entrance of Valparaíso. From there, navigate uphill towards Plaza Aníbal Pinto, which is a 1.5 to 2-hour walk, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
