Driving

From Settlement, drive south towards the Dales area. Follow the signs for Martin Point. The road is generally well-maintained, though it is marked as a 4WD track. After parking, a short 400m walk through the rainforest will lead you to the viewing platform. Car hire is the recommended way to get around the island. Expect to pay around AUD 50-80 per day for car rental. Parking at Martin Point is free.

Taxi

Taxis are available on Christmas Island, particularly on weekday evenings and after midday on weekends. Contact Crabby Transport at +61 (0) 439 215 644 to book a ride. A taxi from Settlement to Martin Point will cost approximately AUD 20-30. Pre-booking is highly recommended due to limited availability.
