Walking
Start from the center of Poon Saan, where you can find the local shops and cafes. Head south on the main road (Poon Saan Road) towards the direction of the Christmas Island National Park. Continue walking along the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the National Park. Here, look for the signs directing you to Dolly Beach. Follow the marked trail leading towards the beach. The trail is well-maintained and offers beautiful views of the surrounding nature. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you should arrive at Dolly Beach, known for its stunning scenery and tranquil atmosphere.
Bicycle
If you prefer riding a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Poon Saan. Start your ride heading south on Poon Saan Road. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the entrance of Christmas Island National Park. Look for signs that guide you to Dolly Beach. Continue along the designated bike path that leads you through the park. The ride should take around 20 minutes, and make sure to enjoy the scenic surroundings as you make your way to the beach.
Hiking
For a hiking experience, begin your journey from the Poon Saan area. Follow the main road south towards the Christmas Island National Park entrance. Once you reach the park, look for the hiking trails that lead toward Dolly Beach. The trail is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and should take about 30 to 40 minutes to hike. Be sure to bring plenty of water and take your time to enjoy the natural beauty along the way.
