Multi-Day Tour Experience in Sajama & Uyuni
Uyuni - La Paz via Sajama National Park
We did the five-day tour from Uyuni to La Paz via Sajama with Latina Bolivia Travel Designers, and it was truly an amazing experience. Everything was very well organized and taken care of throughout the entire trip. The landscapes and places we visited were absolutely beautiful, and we especially loved Sajama National Park — it really surprised us and was one of the highlights of the tour. Unfortunately, we had some bad weather during our trip, which meant that we had to skip a few parts of the original itinerary. We really appreciated how Pablo handled this. He always made decisions with our safety in mind, and we felt very comfortable with the choices he made. Pablo was also very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about the places we visited along the way. A special thanks as well to Chapaco, our driver, who safely drove us through some very remote and challenging areas and made us feel in good hands throughout the journey. The food was also very well arranged every day, including plenty of good options for me as a vegetarian. We would definitely recommend Latina Bolivia Travel Designers to anyone looking for a well-organized, personal and safe tour through Bolivia. If I ever return to Bolivia, I would absolutely contact them again!

Spectacular sunset and stargazing in the Uyuni salt flats
Uyuni 🧂the largest salt flats on Earth
Only in a tour can you easily visit Uyuni. Tour operators abound and their itineraries are very similar. Even on the multi-day tours, only the first day s spent actually on the salt flats. But what a day that is! 🚂 The early morning start first takes you to the Train Cemetery, Uyuni-Cementerio de Trenes. This is quite a unique attraction and demonstrates the extensive efforts taken in the past to get the salt harvested from Uyuni to the Pacific coast. 🥗 Most tours seem to stop at the small town of Colchani for lunch. You can shop for last minute essentials here if yo need to (in my case sunglasses for the harsh brightness of the salt flats), and buy your less essential souvenirs made of local salt. 🏳️🌈 Next stop will be Plaza de las Banderas Uyuni. The old hotel here is now a museum and not very interesting. More photogenic is the platform with global flags. 🌵Isla Incahuasi, a holy spot for ancient Andean cultures, is the next main stop. This oasis of life is fascinating, and so are the elevated views over the salt flat. But it can be tiresome to walk here because of the altitude. 🚙 On the way you feel the expansive size of Uyuni when you get driven over the salt flats for hours at 80 kpm. And when you get off the car you’re surrounded by nothing but flat salt, with the mountains far in the distance. 🌅 Sunset is especially beautiful and feels very pure in this dry landscape where nothing casts a shadow but yourself.

Private Tour in Uyuni Salt Flats with Wine Tasting
Must do!
Great tour! Highly recommend! My group booked this tour last minute because our original plans fell through. However, the entire experience from beginning to end didn’t feel last minute. The drivers and tour guide were personable and made our group feel looked after and special all day. The whole experience ended with unforgettable sunset drinks in the Salt Falts. A truly magical experience!
