Public Bus
From Barranquilla, head to the nearest bus stop and take a bus heading towards Puerto Colombia. Look for buses labeled 'Puerto Colombia' or 'Salgar'. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Puerto Colombia, get off at the stop closest to Cl. 9. From there, walk towards Cl. 9 and head northeast until you reach Cl. 9 #1316. Castle Salgar will be on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle in Barranquilla. Start on the main bike paths towards the coast, heading towards Puerto Colombia. Follow the signs for Salgar. The ride is approximately 10 km and will take around 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Salgar, navigate to Cl. 9, and continue until you find Cl. 9 #1316 on your left.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or a rideshare service. Request a ride to 'Castle Salgar, Cl. 9 #1316, Salgar, Puerto Colombia'. The trip from Barranquilla should take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they know the location.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, start from the center of Barranquilla and make your way to the boardwalk along the Magdalena River. From there, follow the river until you reach the area near Puerto Colombia. This is a longer option and could take about 2-3 hours depending on your pace, but it offers beautiful views. Once in Puerto Colombia, make your way to Cl. 9 and walk until you reach Cl. 9 #1316.
