The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. You will need to pay an entrance fee at the park checkpoint, so have some cash ready (around 10,000 COP). Continue along the road until you reach a fork; take the right path towards Puerto los Mangos. Look for signs indicating the area, as it is a popular spot for ecotourism and hiking.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Caño Cristales to La Macarena. Buses usually depart every hour from the main terminal. The fare is approximately 5,000 COP. Once you arrive in La Macarena, you can either hire a shared taxi (around 10,000 COP per person) or take a local motorbike taxi to the entrance of 'Via Río Caño Cristales'.
